OUR ELDERS
Darrel was born into the home of a gospel minister in 1972. He was born again at an early age and experienced much grace growing up in the context of gospel-believing local churches. In September of 1991 he married his high school sweetheart, Shari and over the years God has blessed them with four children, a granddaughter & grandson. Darrel served as an elder from 2003-2007 at Christ Church in Conroe, Tx. In October of 2007, God called them to move to Pearland, Texas, and join Sovereign Grace Church Pearland where he has served as an elder since 2009. In 2008, Darrel and his family moved to Gaithersburg, Maryland, to attend the Sovereign Grace Pastors College where he graduated in June of 2009.

Jason Bull

Jason was born and raised in Greenville, SC. In 1997, Jason moved to Houston, TX where he has made his home for more than 20 years. As well, in 1997 Jason believed God called him to pursue pastoral ministry. Jason graduated from Baylor University in 2000 with a BA in Religion and then completed his Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2004. He then completed the Clinical Pastoral Eduction program with the Harris County Hospital District where he served as a Chaplain from 2004-2005. Jason then taught Bible at First Baptist Christian Academy in Pasadena, TX from 2005-2008. Jason met his kind and precious wife Jill at Houston’s First Baptist Church in 2004. They married in 2006 and have four of the most special children. Jason enjoys living life and exploring new restaurants with his best friend, Jill. As well, Jason enjoys watching college football, spontaneous movie nights, trips to the park, playing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and bike rides to the pool, all with the neatest people he knows, his family.
David Reid

David comes to us by way of the Washington DC metro region in Northern Virginia. David’s life is the story of God’s grace from being saved at 12, and God’s patient and constant pursuit through the dark times of David’s life which he can only attribute to God - who truly will never leave you nor forsake you. In the DC Metro area, David served at Jesus Is Lord Church in pastoral responsibilities to which included serving opportunities with the various church plants for 5-years. From 2013-2016, David and his family attended Fairfax Bible Church where they continued to serve the Lord by heading up the prayer ministry and serving in the children’s ministry. In 2016, David relocated to Houston, Texas where he now attends and serves at Sovereign Grace Pearland. David has been married to Jeomily (Mel), since 2005, and share the blessing of raising their only child Isaac.
